Bhangarh Fort

Bhangarh Fort – The Bhootiya Garh

Bhangarh Fort is the most haunted monument in India. The haunted fort is 452 years old. Raja Bhagwant Das built the fort in 1573. Subsequently, the fort became the hub of ghosts.

The background of the fort is an anonymous story. Both historical and supernatural elements are the main components of the story. The mysterious end of the fort and its public is very horrifying. The Bhangarh Fort is a 16th-century citadel, constructed in Alwar, Rajasthan. Bhagwant Das had followed some conditions to build the fort. Unfortunately, in the coming year. Bhagwant Das’s successors had to bear a curse due to the Bhangarh Fort.

History of Bhangarh Fort

Raja Bhagwant Das raised the monument for his second son, Madho Singh. Bhangarh Fort is in the Alwar district, sheltered in the Aravalli hills. The fort is 452 years old and famous for its horror stories. However, there are two famous tales about the most haunted Bhangarh Fort.

Firstly, a famous tale of a proven sadhu. Secondly, a popular story of a princess and her lover. Both of these stories tell about the destruction of Bhangarh. The palace became so horrifying and mysterious that even the Indian government banned entry into the fort at night (after 6 pm). Earlier, Bhangarh was the name of the region, but eventually, it was limited to a fort only. And the story begins with a terrifying curse.

Sadhu and his curse

The sadhu was the resident of the hills where Bhagwant Das built the fort. Saint Balu Nath used to perform penance at that location. When he came to know about the fort, he sent a message to the king and called him. Then he told the king that the height of his fort must not exceed that of the saint’s place. And, no shadow of the fort reached his penancing place.

Therefore, Bhagwant Das kept this point in mind because of respect. But his next-3rd generation successors did not take it seriously and ignored it. Afterward, the king raised the wall of the fort, and its shadow reached the guru.

As a result, he became so angry and accursed the fort that it would be destroyed. Therefore, his curse was fulfilled, and the entire Bhangarh was destroyed.

Apart from this, crores of people died in the Chalisa famine of 1783. People believe that it was all because of a curse. Even, many people tried to settle there later, but no houses were completed, and fell repeatedly.

Princess And her Lover

The story dates back to the century when a gorgeous princess used to live in the fort. Ratnavati was her name. She was very graceful. Talks about her beauty were widespread. Many kings proposed to her for marriage. But she refused all that. Then, her one more lover came. He was crazy for the princess. His name was Singhia. He was a tantrik. When he saw her, he developed feelings for her and wanted her by any means.

But he knew that she would never accept him. Thus, he found an indirect way to get her. One day, a serving girl of the princess came to the market to buy hair oil for Ratnawati. Suddenly, Singhia stopped her and tried to disguise herself. At that very moment, he secretly did black magic on the oil. He was an expert in tantra-mantra.

Afterward, when the maid reached the princess and gave her the oil bottle, she got suspicious. Because Ratnavati was also well-known for black magic, she asked the maid about someone in the market, and the maid replied positively. She told me about Tantrik Singhia. Princess understood the whole matter and threw the oil bottle at a stone.

Surprisingly, Singhia had done black magic so that whoever used that oil would be under his control. Also, the person would come to him automatically.

As a result, when Ratnawati scattered oil on the stone, all the black magic acted upon the stone. Therefore, a huge stone started rolling towards the tantrik and rolled on top of him. Singhia was almost dead. But his last words were a curse to the princess and her citizens. He cursed that all would die and their spirits would wander in the Bhangarh Fort. And, after all, people died and became spirits in the fort.

Terrifying Payoff

People in the neighborhood of the Bhangarh Fort had witnessed various supernatural elements, negative energy, and sounds of screaming and laughing. They even heard the sound of the bells of the ghunguru at night.

At last, no one is clear about the true story, but both of the above are most believed. The terror of Bhangarh Fort is worldwide. However, it is a thrilling and adventurous site for thrill-seekers like you.
