Early Life and Career
Schultz was born in a normal family on the 19th of July 1953. He graduated from Michigan and after graduation, he worked in Michigan for around 12 months. After that, he shifted to New York and there started his career as a Salesman in Xerox Company. He went to Starbucks (a coffee manufacturing company) which existed from 1971 to the time he purchased and changed the brand upside down. There he worked for some time and thought to start his own coffee (Beverage Company).
After working for some time and with a thought to start his own beverage company. He opened his first store by the name of Il Giornale which is a newspaper in Milan. Later he decided to purchase the name Starbucks with the help of investors from the previous owners in 1986. He started his first store and offered coffee with ice cream with few seats and opera music.

Schultz was the CEO of Starbucks from 1985 – 1999 and stepped down as the CEO of Starbucks in 2000 to work on the company’s global strategies. In 2008 Howard took over the position of CEO and stepped down again in 2017. Now he is the Executive Chairman.

He was awarded the ‘Israel Tribute Award’ in 1998 for the promotion of relations between the US and Israel on its 50th Anniversary.
