The Tragic Death Of Hari Singh
This incident took place on the night of October 31, 2013. That night carried the memory of the man who never left the station.
“Hari Singh,” a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) jawan from Jharkhand, worked in Delhi. On that night, he was travelling on the Kerala Express, from New Delhi to Kerala.
It was an ordinary journey, but fate had other plans. The train was scheduled to stop at the station where this mishappening occurred. The reason is still unknown, but a dispute occurred between Hari Singh and the TTE as well as the railway authorities.
When The Train Stopped, So Did His Life
Some say that there was an argument for seats or space. Some claim that due to regular ticket checkups or travelling documents, they had a fight. Since there are no eyewitnesses to this situation, no proof could be found to date. As a result, the misunderstanding turned out to be violent. Whether it’s the railway staff, TTE, or passengers involved, Hari Singh got severely injured.
He got kicked out of the train at the chitoor railway station. He was helpless, panicked, and injured. Everybody saw the drama, but nobody chose to speak. He rushed to the nearest local hospital in Chitoor. His screams and cries are still heard at the station.
He fought for his life in the hospital of Chitoor. Later, they shifted him to the hospital in Chennai. There, he fought for his life for 10 days. Yet, after many attempts, his condition worsened. Consequently, Hari Singh passed away.
Where Hari Singh Still Wanders
The station, which was once fully crowded and busy, went silent after that night. locals say that after that tragic night, there was a different sight of the station visible. They could hear strange, eerie sounds, as if somebody was crying and seeking help. Cold winds could be felt by anyone, even on the hottest of days.
Somebody’s presence could be felt as if watching or looking for someone. People usually saw some shadow or a dark figure walking towards them at night. Station authorities say that the lights flicker suddenly at midnight. Many other stories have been heard, such as people disappearing and the echoing of footsteps. Due to all these reasons, not even a single person comes here after the evening. Even some say that at midnight, the trains also do not stop here.

At present, people still come here, travel, and go to their respective places, but after sunset, everything goes untouched. The wind still haunts, the voices still echoes, and the presence is still felt. At the station, it’s not the train, but the soul that wait for you.
